TANITH BROOM - CO-FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

(They/Them/Theirs)

Tanith Broom grew up as a military kid bouncing from place to place and meeting all kinds of people. They have worked in health care for 15+  years and have volunteered as a GLBTQIA+ health advocate for over 10 years. Tanith is currently in the Twin Cities, working full time and finishing (...finally…) their Bachelor’s of Science with a focus in Public Health, Gender Studies, and Computer Science. They love Star Wars, snuggling their cat, and performing burlesque under an alter ego to let off some steam.

JASPER BETTENDORF - CO-FOUNDER & VICE-PRESIDENT

Jasper Bettendorf grew up on a rural Christian homestead and upon leaving home, founded Springfield Skeptics: an atheist/humanist activist and volunteer group in his hometown of Springfield, Missouri. Currently located in Washington, DC, Jasper is working towards his Bachelor's in Communication from Missouri State University. He enjoys playing guitar, dog spotting, and building spreadsheets in Excel.

JORDAN ABHOLD - DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH & STRATEGY

(He/Him/His)

Jordan Abhold recently graduated and is preparing for a Masters in Public Health. He has experience in public health research and has been involved in the preparation, planning, and execution of healthcare research and patient advocacy through his work as a project manager and medical data analyst at a biotech company in the Twin Cities. In his spare time, he enjoys rock climbing, playing music, and knitting.

SPENCER CLIFTON - DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION

Spencer graduated from the U of M with a BA in Gender, Women's, & Sexuality studies and a masters in Social Studies education.  When they aren't teaching young humans, they can be found in the kitchen making something delicious, reading a book, or narrating the life of their wiener dog.

CHANCE HOVEREID - DIRECTOR OF ADVOCACY

Chance Horvereid grew up in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Not one to be constrained by society's expectations, he spent the last couple years exploring his interests and passions and connecting with communities he felt connected with. He currently lives in the Twin Cities and works in Laboratory Research. He loves playing Destiny on PS4, loving all animals, getting swole at the gym, and advocating for trans rights.

NIKI HULTMAN - DIRECTOR OF Muslim Community outreach

(She/Her/Hers)

Niki Hultman has spent the better part of the last 20 years working in the health care industry, specifically with health insurance benefit verification and prior authorizations. She majored in Spanish Studies at the University of Minnesota.  Niki has lived and worked in various parts of Central and South America, most recently in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the Dragon Age games on PC, cooking, and knitting sweaters for her nieces..
